The Cities for Workforce Health Program is sponsored by the League Partner Program of the League of California Cities, including Kaiser Permanente, Keenan & Associates, Inc.
and the Healthy Eating Active Living (HEAL) Cities Campaign
. The objective is to engage League cities and their employees in building a culture of enhanced health and productivity. By providing the tools necessary to create a healthier workforce, cities will not only see improved employee productivity, but lower employee turnover and a better safety record.
To be eligible for the $5,000 credit, cities must first join the HEAL Cities Campaign and designate a lead staffer for the city’s worksite wellness efforts. Information about how to join the HEAL Cities Campaign is available online
Selected cities will receive 30 hours of consultations service over a one year period beginning October 2013. Consultation services include:
Onsite biometric screenings, health education classes and flu shots

Thrive Across America — online physical activity program
