New Public Engagement Resources Available through ILG Website

January 18, 2013

The Institute for Local Government (ILG) updated and expanded its set of public engagement resources available online.

These public engagement tip sheets, longer publications, case stories and other materials help local officials make good decisions about the design, delivery and assessment of their public engagement processes.

Visit ILG’s public engagement webpage for an overview of the resources.

Additionally, see ILG’s new Basics of Public Engagement webpage offering the “basics” of public engagement benefits, principles, design, and other related topics to help local and regional agencies successfully involve residents and others in local public decision-making.

The complete list of ILG publications is available online, including detailed guides, shorter pieces that focus on the main points of a topic, rosters of California youth commissions and citizen academies.

If you’re interested in the latest public engagement news and resource from ILG, subscribe to the ILG’s free Perspectives on Local Government Public Engagement e-newsletter online.
