California Attorney General Sends Notice of Class Action Lawsuit Settlement in Case Involving Purchase of LCD Screens

The California Attorney General on behalf of a class including cities, counties, school districts and special districts, sued Chunghwa Picture Tubes, LTD for over charging resulting from a price fixing conspiracy for LCD screens found in various electronics including televisions, computer monitors and laptops purchased between 1996 and 2006.

 

Plaintiff class members must request to opt-out of the settlement class by March 8, 2013. A fairness hearing will take place on April 9, 2013 in San Francisco Superior Court, Department 304.

The California Attorney General is required by statute to notify members of the class that they may remove themselves from a class action. To remain part of the class action, no action is needed to be taken. The Notice from the Superior Court of the State of California, County of San Francisco is available online
