Annual Conference Resolutions Process Wrap-Up

Three Resolutions Approved in 2012

The League’s policy committees and Board of Directors address legislative and policy issues throughout the year on a wide variety of topics.

 

In addition, member cities and officials can propose policy through the League’s Annual Conference Resolutions process. This year, three resolutions were approved by the League’s General Assembly. A brief summary of each of the resolutions is listed below. A full report of the final resolutions will be available in the next two weeks and will be sent to every member city as well as available on the League’s website.

2012 Approved Resolutions

  • Resolution No. 1 — Relating to Collection and Distribution of Fines, Fees and Assessments Generated by Local Government.
  • Resolution No. 2 — Raising Public Awareness and Supporting Tougher Laws Related to Internet Crimes Against Children.  
  • Resolution No. 5 — Calling for the Promotion of Disaster Resilient California Cities.
