Web Resources Now Available on SB 863 – Workers’ Compensation

The Department of Industrial Relations' (DIR) Division of Workers' Compensation (DWC) announced its newly developed web page including resources that will help answer questions about SB 863 (De León; 2012).    

 

The bill, which will make wide-ranging changes to California's workers' compensation system, was signed into law by Gov. Brown on Sept. 18 and takes effect Jan. 1, 2013.

The new webpage contains a variety of materials including:

The new web page also includes information on the Oct. 2 meetings by working groups formed to discuss regulation proposals. Subjects include home health care fee schedule, independent bill review, independent medical review, lien filing and activation fee, pre-designation and cap on chiropractors as primary treating physicians, and supplemental job displacement benefit vouchers.
