The League and the California Redevelopment Association (CRA) recently adopted support positions on AB 1585 after the author took a variety of amendments to the measure on March 8 that clarified and improved a number of provisions in the law of concern to successor agencies. The League and CRA will continue to work with the author to identify other possible clarifications to the bill as it moves along.

While AB 1585 contains numerous helpful provisions, many issues associated with the dissolution of redevelopment agencies remain outstanding. The League and CRA will continue to work with the author and other legislators to achieve additional clean up and continue to develop alternative tools that can assist local agencies.
