ILG Launches Sustainable Communities Network LinkedIn Group

June 22, 2012

The Sustainable Communities Learning Network, an initiative of the Institute for Local Government (ILG), now includes a LinkedIn group to help local sustainability practitioners connect throughout California. This virtual platform was created with the recognition that local governments have limited budgets for travel and conferences.

Sustainability practitioners can use the LinkedIn group to:

  • Seek assistance;
  • Share successes and challenges;
  • Offer resources;
  • Promote events; and
  • Post job opportunities.

The Sustainable Communities Learning Network helps local officials and staff access and share resources that encourage their communities to consider and apply economically, socially and environmentally sustainable practices. ILG wants to acknowledge UC Davis, the California Strategic Growth Council and the California Endowment for their support of the Sustainable Communities Learning Network. ILG is nonprofit research arm of the League and the California State Association of Counties.

Join the Sustainability Communities Learning Network LinkedIn Group by visiting LinkedIn.
