Five Resolutions Submitted for Annual Conference

July 20, 2012

This year, the League of California Cities received five resolutions on topics including emergency preparedness, revenue collection, and environmental protection laws.

Five of the resolutions have been referred to three policy committees: Environmental Quality, Public Safety, and Revenue and Taxation. The resolution packets have been sent to mayors, city managers and city clerks and are available on the League's website.

Policy development is a key part of the League’s legislative effectiveness and the League’s Annual Conference Resolutions process is one way that city officials can directly participate in the development of League policy. Make sure your city is represented at the General Assembly by designating a voting delegate to cast your city’s vote.

For more information on the resolutions process or policy committee schedule at the Annual Conference, please visit the League's website or contact Meg Desmond  at (916) 658-8224.
