FPPC staff has identified several areas that it will be examining including:
The 500 foot rule for real property, developing a materiality standard for real property that is not directly involved in a decision but where there are sufficient factors to rebut the presumption of nonmateriality;
Clarifying what is "reasonably foreseeable" under Step 6; and
Simplification of the public generally analysis.
Additionally, staff is soliciting suggestions for improvement to all aspects of the conflict of interest regulations under the Political Reform Act.
