U.S. Department of Energy Consortium to Host LED Street Lighting Workshop

On April 19 – 20, the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Municipal Solid-State Street Lighting (MSSL) Consortium and the city of Los Angeles Bureau of Street Lighting will host an LED Street Lighting Workshop. The workshop is open to city officials, utility officials, consultants and energy efficiency organizations.

 

Workshop Details 

DOE MSSL Consortium LED Street Lighting Workshop

April 19 – 20
Sheraton Los Angeles Downtown, 711 Hope Street
Registration cost: $175/person 

The workshop program will include:

  • Los Angeles LED street lighting conversion program;
  • Specifying LED luminaries based on application;
  • Design tools for LED street lighting – what are they and how to use them;
  • Rediscovering the meaning of light loss factors;
  • Cost benefit analysis of LED conversion projects; and
  • Remote monitoring and controls – what works.

Register online. The registration fee includes all workshop sessions, continental breakfast, a networking lunch, and LED site bus tour on April 19. The registration deadline is April 16.
