Oxnard Council Member Appointed to Commission on State Mandates

Gov. Jerry Brown announced last week the appointment of Oxnard Council Member Maria Carmen Ramírez to the California Commission on State Mandates.

 
Ramírez was first elected to the Oxnard City Council in 2010 and is serving her first term in office. She has been an attorney at the Law Offices of M. Carmen Ramírez since 2009 and previously served as community planning director with the Central Coast Alliance for a Sustainable Economy from 2008 – 2009. Ramírez will join the commission once the Senate confirms her appointment.
