The Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Local Government Climate and Energy Program has announced that it will host a three-part webinar series about funding and financing clean energy programs in May and June. The webinars will be held on May 16, May 30 and June 13.

The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) on Wednesday issued an update titled “Enforcement Guidance on Employer Use of Arrest and Conviction Records in Employment Decisions under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.” EEOC also issued a question and answer document about the report.

The State Controller sent a letter to cities and counties earlier this week, ordering them to transfer assets to successor agencies that cities or counties may have received from their redevelopment agencies after Jan. 1, 2011. The extensiveness of this requirement has raised a number of questions from many local officials.
