This conference is designed to help city officials, new and veteran, learn about relevant city management topics and network with their colleagues from across the state. The conference will be held Jan. 18-20 at the Hyatt Regency in Sacramento.

Conference sessions will feature topics including

• Effective Advocacy & Key City Issues
• Policy Role in Land Use Planning
• Relationship between City Council and City Manager/Staff
• Communications and New Media
• Financial Responsibilities and City Revenues

A legislative reception, where attendees will have a chance to discuss issues face to face with legislators, will be held Wednesday, Jan. 18, 6 – 7:15 p.m. 

Attendees can also receive AB 1234 certification during a special session entitled “How to Build and Maintain the Public’s Trust: Practical Ethics and the Law” from 9:45 – 11:45 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 20.
