The League of California Cities is proud to be a founding sponsor of the U.S. Communities Government Purchasing Alliance. This leading national cooperative purchasing program delivers cost savings for products and services from best in class national suppliers, and reduces the administrative costs associated with competitive bids for government agencies, educational institutions and nonprofits organizations.
U.S. Communities offers:
  • No public agency fees or costs, with a user-friendly online marketplace
  • Commitment to lowest government pricing from each competitively bit supplier
  • Public agency oversight by state and local government procurement professionals
  • Program audits for compliance with contract pricing, terms and conditions
  • Contract benchmarking to validate best pricing guarantee
All contracts have been competitively solicited, evaluated and awarded by an impartial lead public agency in accordance with their public purchasing rules and regulations. Applying these competitive principles satisfies the competitive bid requirements of most state and local government agencies.

League of California Cities Sponsorship

In addition to reducing the cost of goods and services for all California cities, U.S. Communities strengthens the League’s ability to provide other membership services. In return for sponsoring U.S. Communities, the League receives royalty fees, which keep League membership dues lower and stable.

National Partnerships and State Sponsors

U.S. Communities is sponsored by the National League of Cities, U. S. Conference of Mayors, National Association of Counties and the Association of School Business Officials. In addition, more than 70 associations of cities, counties and schools endorse or sponsor the program at the state level. This overwhelming sponsorship by professional government associations strengthens the value of the program and assures significant oversight for program participants.
