CITIPAC

CITIPAC, the League’s political action committee established in 2003, supports ballot measure and other advocacy activities of importance to cities.

In 2004, CITIPAC played a crucial role in raising the private funds needed to support the League's successful effort to pass Proposition 1A and again in 2010 with the passage of Proposition 22. Both propositions amended the California Constitution in order to end the practice of state raids on local funds.

Despite CITIPAC’s successes, there are still many threats to local democracy from new legislative and ballot measure proposals.

Through its fundraising efforts CITIPAC supports the League’s mission “To expand and protect local control for cities through education and advocacy to enhance the quality of life for all Californians.”
