Attend the League’s 2013 Legislative Action Day Preview Webinar and Legislative Action Day

Onsite Registration only Available Now for Sacramento Meeting

April 11, 2013
Today is the last day to register for the League’s 2013 Legislative Action Day Preview Webinar, and registration is only available onsite for the Annual Legislative Action Day & Reception.

Sign up for the preview webinar, offered prior to Legislative Action Day, allowing cities a chance to learn about proposed legislation that will affect your city. Then attend the event in Sacramento on April 24 to advocate directly for your city and all California cities. The League has recently added a new session to help city officials learn about and advocate effectively for the Enterprise Zone Program.

Special Session on Enterprise Zones

Since Gov. Jerry Brown took office, local governments have seen attempts to eliminate or reform Enterprise Zones. This year, the Governor’s budget proposal includes reforms to the Enterprise Zone program through regulatory changes and has noted his intention to seek legislative changes.

The League has compiled a history on Enterprise Zones, as well as talking points that include actions city officials can immediately take to communicate the importance of the Enterprise Zone program to legislators and the public.
