NLC to Host City Leaders During 2015 Congressional City Conference

The National League of Cities (NLC) will hold its annual Congressional City Conference in Washington, D .C. from March 7-11. During the conference, participants from throughout the nation will engage and meet with U.S. Senate and House of Representatives members and their staff to discuss federal policy issues of paramount importance to cities and local governments.

DEADLINE EXTENDED: Mayors and Council Members Department Survey Now Due March 6

The deadline for the League’s Mayors and Council Members’ Department survey has been extended to Friday, March 6. The department is conducting the brief online survey to assess a range of issues related to city elected officials to help the department best meet the needs of its members. Survey results will guide the department’s executive committee’s efforts to improve communication, increase participation and plan department-led educational programming.

Trial Court Revenue Distribution Trainings Offered in May

For the third consecutive year, the Judicial Council and State Controller’s Office (SCO) will partner to provide in-person training on trial court revenue distribution. The Judicial Council’s Court-Ordered Debt Task Force established this ongoing training in 2013 for court, county, city, and parking entities that perform revenue collection and distribution activities.
