AB 1963 (Atkins) Redevelopment Dissolution Clean-up Bill Signed by Governor

Gov. Jerry Brown took action on a number of bills during the Legislature’s summer recess, including signing AB 1963 (Atkins). Supported by the League, Assembly Speaker Toni Atkin’s (D-San Diego) bill makes several helpful changes affecting the redevelopment dissolution process.

Questions Remain on Fate of Water Bond

The League of California Cities board of directors recently met and approved position recommendations from the League’s policy committees on Proposition 44, the Rainy Day Budget Stabilization Fund Act and Prop. 46, the Troy and Alana Pack Patient Safety Act. The following is a brief description of all seven ballot measures that are currently on the 2014 November general election ballot.

Strategic Growth Council Hosts AHSC Workshops; League Schedules Feedback Webinar

The Strategic Growth Council (SGC) will hold three workshops in August to gather public input to inform guideline development for the SGC Affordable Housing and Sustainable Communities (AHSC) Program. Earlier this month, SGC released its proposed timeline on program guideline development workshops, approval and application deadlines, and when award recipients would be announced.
