League’s Motion for Reconsideration in AB 1484 Litigation Granted

Sacramento County Superior Court Judge Michael Kenny on Tuesday granted the League’s motion for reconsideration in the litigation challenging the constitutionality of AB 1484’s clawback provisions.

Court Grants Fraction of Brown’s Stay Request

The three federal judge-panel convened to oversee the reduction of California’s prison population granted Gov. Jerry Brown’s request for an extension this week – with one ‘small’ caveat. Instead of the two-year extension initially requested, the court granted a 27-day stay as part of a meet-and-confer order to determine a plan for compliance on a potentially longer timeframe.
