League Releases Third Q & A Guide on Post-Redevelopment Legal Issues — Transfer of Housing Assets

League's Post-Redevelopment Working Group Looking at Concerns with DOF's Review of ROPS

The League has released the third in a series of question and answer guides to assist cities struggling with issues arising from AB x1 26, the redevelopment dissolution statute.

AB 1692 Seeks to Unravel Provisions of Last Year's Municipal Bankruptcy Bill

This week the League was surprised to learn that AB 1692 (Wieckowski) was amended in an effort to unravel key features of AB 506 (Wieckowski), last year’s carefully negotiated municipal bankruptcy bill. City officials are encouraged to send opposition letters and call members of the Assembly Local Government Committee immediately.

House Adopts Federal Transportation Reauthorization Bill

The House approved a transportation bill on Wednesday afternoon that should allow the discussion on a long-term transportation reauthorization to move to a conference committee.
