Legislature Reconvenes Monday, Governor’s Budget Expected Thursday

January promises to be a busy month in the capital city. The Legislature reconvenes on Monday, Jan. 7 for the new 2013-14 legislative session and Gov. Jerry Brown is expected to submit his FY 2013-14 budget by Thursday, Jan. 10.

City Attorneys’ Department to Host Realignment Impacts and Weapons Confiscation Webinar on Feb.13

The League’s City Attorneys’ Department announced today that it will host an important webinar titled “Responding to Realignment Impacts and Deadly Weapons in the Community” on Feb. 13. Registration is now open.

Registration Closes Early for Two League Conferences

On Thursday, Jan. 3, registration for the 2013 New Mayors and Council Members' Academy and the 2013 City Managers' Department Meeting closed early when the meeting space capacities were reached. Registration for these events is closed and onsite registration will not be available.
