San José Mayor Sam Liccardo and Orinda Council Member Amy Worth Joined Sen. Jim Beall and others to Urge Passage of Transportation Funding Package

Resounding Message was “The longer the Legislature delays, the more we pay”

Monday morning Sen. Jim Beall (D-San José) joined San Jose Mayor Sam Liccardo, Orinda Council Member Amy Worth or county, business and labor leaders in San José at a press conference focused on the urgent need facing California’s local and state transportation system. The March 6 press conference marks one month until the April 6 deadline set by Gov. Jerry Brown, Senate President pro Tem Kevin de León (D-Los Angeles) and Assembly Speaker Anthony Rendon (D-South Gate) to pass a transportation funding package.
