SB 1 Passes Out of Senate Transportation and Housing Committee

Next Hearing Set for Feb. 22 in Senate Environmental Quality Committee

League-supported SB 1 (Beall) successfully cleared its first of three policy committees on Tuesday afternoon. Members of the Fix Our Roads Coalition, of which the League is a founding member, testified in support of Sen. Jim Beall’s (D-San Jose) bill that generates an additional $6 billion annually for California’s local and state transportation network.

Upcoming Legislative Hearings of Interest to Cities Feb. 22 – March 7

The Legislature continues to hold a number of oversight and informational hearings on a variety of policy areas of interest to cities. Today is the bill introduction deadline, which means that the number of legislative hearings will ramp up by early March.
